International Forum on Environmental Ethics organized jointly by the Iranian Department of Environment (DoE), the University of Environment (UoE) and ECO Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ECO-IEST) was held on Saturday 6th of September 2014, at the International Conference Hall of the Department of Environment in Tehran.


ECO-IEST: International Forum on Environmental Ethics organized jointly by the Iranian Department of Environment (DoE), the University of Environment (UoE) and ECO Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ECO-IEST) was held on Saturday 6th of September 2014, at the International Conference Hall of the Department of Environment in Tehran.
Environmental ethics is one of the disciplines which study the moral relationship of human beings to, and also the value and moral status of, the environment and its contents. 
Several academia, experts of environmental and social sciences, political corps, UN agencies, NGOs, IGOs, Media, etc. attended this forum in order to discuss among all, the importance of environmental ethics, ethical obligation(s) of humanity towards the environment, relationship between environmental ethics and climate change and other harms and damages to the environment, role of religions in environmental ethics, etc.
Delivering his opening remarks at the opening session of this forum, Dr. Asghar Mohammadi Fazel, President of ECO-IEST and Secretary of the Forum noted that "this event has been organised to appreciate today’s level of awareness and intellectualism that entails a new outlook and perception of the environment and importance of protecting and sustaining it, an outlook that needs to pay attention to the whole world and all of its inhabitants, ecosystems and creators from an ethical point of view."
