Upon arrival in Ashgabat Airport, Zarif was welcomed by Turkmenistan deputy foreign minister Hajiev and the Iranian ambassador in Turkmenistan.

His talks with his Turkmen counterpart and other top-ranking officials will be held on Monday.

On the objectives of Iranian delegation visit to the three countries, he said, "We have potential for transit cooperation with Georgia to connect Black Sea to the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean, a very desirable way for future of transit.”

As to Foreign Ministry’s major programs including those in the current visit to the three countries, he said that export of technical and engineering services is also on the agenda.

"We are seeking to prepare the ground for boosting non-oil exports as well as technical and engineering services to neighboring countries,” he said, noting that the visiting Iranian delegation includes experts from the state-run and private sectors to examine the countries’ potentials.
