Iranian and Afghan officials in a meeting have emphasized promoting mutual relations and good neighborliness between two countries.
ECO-IEST: On Monday 9 October 2017, in Kabul, Iranian and Afghan officials in a meeting have emphasized promoting mutual relations and good neighborliness between two countries.
The meeting was held with the attendance of Abbas Araqchi and Ebrahim Rahimpour, respective deputies for Legal and International Affairs, and Asia and Pacific Affairs of Iran Foreign Ministry, and the Second Vice President of Afghanistan Sarwar Danish.

During the meeting both sides reviewed the quintet cooperation committees between Iran and Afghanistan.

Iranian and Afghan officials expressed hope for these committees to bring about positive results for both countries.

The quintet committees have been created in political, security, training, cultural, economic, water, environment and immigration fields.

Iran and Afghanistan have set up the quintet joint commissions to draw up a long-term cooperation document, which was finalized in Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s daylong visit to Kabul on May 7.
