ECO-IEST: On Saturday 14 October 2017, in Islamabad, Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Tehran and Islamabad have institutionalized mechanism to discuss all issues to have better cooperation in bilateral ties.

'We have institutionalized mechanisms in place with Iran, wherein all issues related to border management and issues of bilateral and regional interest and concern are taken up by both sides,' Nafees Zakaria said at his weekly news briefing in Islamabad. 

Pakistani media reported on Friday that Iran and Pakistan have agreed to open more crossing points on border to promote trade on border regions. 

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Iran's Consul General in south western city of Quetta Mohammad Rafiee and Chief Secretary of Balochistan Aurangzeb Haq.
