Afghan state-run and private universities’ instructors and chancellors discussed scientific cooperation between Tehran and Kabul with a visiting Iranian delegation at the University of Kabul late Saturday.
ECO-IEST: Afghan state-run and private universities’ instructors and chancellors discussed scientific cooperation between Tehran and Kabul with a visiting Iranian delegation at the University of Kabul late Saturday.

The seminar was attended by chancellor of University of Kabul Hamid Allah Farouqi and Head of Islamic Relations Organization Abuzar Ebrahimi-Torkman as the heads of the two scientific delegations.

Farouqi described the meeting as a turning point in the history of cooperation between the two countries’ scientific institutions. 

Referring to Iran Book Fair slated to open at University of Kabul on Sunday, he said that regional countries need each other’s scientific products in the field of book.

Ebrahimi, for his part, described university as a place for passing on human knowledge to future generations, saying that academic relations will help both sides get acquainted with each other’s achievements.

"We need each other’s knowledge and science and both sides are ready to exchange instructors and students and help deepen scientific communications,” he said.
