ECO-IEST: Kazakhstan and Turkey are strengthening economic cooperation. As part of the investment week, Kazakh delegation held meetings in Istanbul and Ankara with 35 largest Turkish companies. The parties discussed cooperation prospects in mining, metallurgy, construction, energy, telecommunication, agriculture, textile and pharmaceutical industries. Such factors as the favorable investment environment and conditions for doing business in Kazakhstan have sparked interest among the Turkish entrepreneurs as they plan to implement several projects in Kazakhstan. The projects include a construction of a solar electric station with the capacity of 50 megawatt as well as a joint-enterprise on geological exploration.
We believe in Kazakhstan’s potential. We decided to implement our investment project after learning about the preferences for investors as well as the financial and infrastructural support from the government. The markets of Kazakhstan and its neighboring countries are very important for us. Burak Basmaci, representive of Turkish company said.
He added Our main task is to intensively attract investors who can contribute to the development of the country. Turkish companies are very active. We are targeting those countries where investors make decisions as quickly as possible. They have funds, experience and technologies. They already have plans about Kazakh partners, and what projects they can implement.
