Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has officially welcomed his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, who is in Ankara for two days of high-level talks on a wide range of issues, particularly bilateral economic ties.

Before starting the talks, which are underway behind closed doors without the presence of correspondents, President Rouhani was officially welcomed by his Turkish counterpart and the cameramen were just allowed to take photos in the beginning of the talks.

It seems that the two are negotiating economic issues and important regional developments.

Members of the high-ranking Iranian delegation in Turkey include Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh, Energy Minister Reza Ardekanian and a number of other senior officials.
